So I decided to log my GPU stats via RoG GPU-Z while in Firestrike and I noticed it wouldn't boost (clock was 874 and not 980 MHz) which struck me as weird. I went into Witcher 3, disabled V-sync and for whatever reason I was not only getting lower temps than before, the GPU was boosting fine, the log files showed 980 MHz while ingame. Is there a settings I've missed or something since this seems very wonky to me.

Its some issue with Firestrike and the latest drivers I've had it happen benching my 290x Lighting.

It was the same with driver 15.5 though. 15.7 gave me a score bump by about 150 points yet with both I wasn't apparently using the boost clock. Weird that gaming doesn't affect it nor does stressing with Aida64 but so far I've only noted Firestrike.
