I recently got a headset that required an optical audio cables and my Motherboard only has 3.5mm jacks. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good prices soundcard (internal or external) that I could use for this. On the back of the wireless reciever I have there is an Optical in so I assume on the other end I would need an optical out? Any help would be appriciated.

The headset in question is the Nemesis Akuma if that helps at all. I am not the best with audio devices and I have no way of telling if the card I am looking at is the right thing.

I went with a DGX in the end. Its not work for some reason or another on these headphones so I am going to look into it. I have the output activated in my settings but still nothing.

be sure that under advanced, it's set to 24 bit, 92khz at most. If you do any more than that, optical won't support it.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
