Wanting to start using Ting

So I've decided to switch to Ting and am looking at what phones they have to offer.

I currently have a Galaxy S4 and I've realized that I basically wasted my money because I don't really take advantage of it's features. I don't game on my phone, I work a lot, and am not really social. I don't call or text often, or even use the camera as often as most people that I know.

I do use my phone as a GPS often which is why I'm looking for a good smart phone. I thought about getting a flip phone, and a separate dedicated GPS, but I often find myself in situations where GPS in my S4 proves more realistic to have in my day to day basis. I browse the internet often as well due to random questions that pop up in my head, and when I'm bored.

I was looking at the MOTO E2 because the price to performance it offers seems to suit me the best. At one point I was just going to wait for the One Plus Two (not sure how realistic that is because of how hard it seemed to have been to obtain the One plus one when it came out) and buying a Ting Sim Card and hope there wont be any compatibility issues with the network. I generally like to spend my money and time on my computer for gaming and is my main medium for communication anyways.

Is there any recommendations that you guys think would be good for me?

I would get an Asus Zenphone 2

I use ting, if you ~~text alot, call alot, or~~ use a lot of data on your phone, you might be better off with another carrier as things can get pretty pricey with ting.

I tend to use maybe upwards of 400 texts, maybe 10-20 minutes of calling, and 50-500MB of data a month, it all totals to roughly $28 USD..

Though it's nice that for I think sprint, t-mobile, and a few other carriers most of the time you can just switch your phone over without much issue, I've got a sprint htc evo 4g lte and it's been doing fine with ting so far. (I've been using ting for about a year now, though the phone itself is starting to stab itself multiple times.. )

Considering sticking with ting once I upgrade my phone, hopefully to the xperia z3.

Tl;dr - if you use a lot of calling, texting, or data it might get a little expensive, but service is pretty good. (at least in the main 48 states )

Well I do live in Hawaii atm, but my company is relocating me to Vegas so "fingers crossed", hopefully I can deal with it till the move
