The graphics look weird after the last update, so I haven't touched Star Trek Online in months. Even canceled my subscription. Plus, glitchy arse Skyrim has frustrated me to no end lately(character frozen in place). I think I just need an RPG break for a while. I think I want to try something new-ish since I have a system that can hang, now. I have been stuck in console-land up until this past March, so I'm not quite sure where to find everything I like on PC yet. I have been looking online, but I am looking for suggestions because newer games still aren't very cheap and it's not like I can return or trade it in if I don't like it. I'll do my best to describe what I like and, of course, any suggestions and/or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Racing: I loved the physics of the Forza games. Not too sim, and not too arcade. Also, I liked the customization system a lot. I liked the open world of the Midnight Club games, but not the driving physics so much. Forza + Midnight Club = Homerun... Also, I thought the game Split Second was cool for what it was.

First Person Shooter: Loved Halo, Halo 3, Reach and Halo 4. Hated Halo 2 and ODST. I liked the Call of Duty: World at War and Modern Warfare 2. I haven't Played Battlefield since BF2. Battlefield 4 looks better than Hardline to me, but is it still popular online?

Action: Kingdom of Amulur. I thought it was more action than RPG. Batman Arkham Asylum, of course. I know Assassin's Creed and Shadow of Mordor are similar, but I'd rather avoid "sword and sorcery" for now. Anyone play Mystic Heroes on the GameCube? That was cool. I'm not opposed to a good beat'em up.

Flight: I liked the Ace Combat series ever since the Air Combat PlayStation 1. I'd be willing to try something like that. Unfortunately, the last one of those is 4 years old now. So I there's something similar but newer, that'd be awesome.

Real Time Strategy: I LOVED StarCraft and would be elbows deep in SC2 if it weren't for that stupid DPI glitch. I also really enjoyed Dawn of War and its expansions.

Have you tried GTA V for PC?  I heard it's an amazing port

I know you're frustrated with RPGs at the moment. But, really, every gamer on this planet needs to play the Witcher 3.

Adding to my RPG frustrations, I have a free copy of Witcher 3 that came with my GPU. Unfortunately, I forgot my password for GoG and the reset site is glitched so I can't change it...

I spent a while last night browsing Steam. Are there really no great racing games for pc right now? I mean like forza and gran turismo. Project Cars looks promising, but the player reviews are so so and there doesn't seem to be mush customization...
