Hello. I'm back again, and I have a general question. If I were to replace the motherboard of my PC, which is currently using an HP OEM copy of Windows 8.1, how would I activate the recovery partition after the replacement? HP computers come with a recovery partition for this type of thing since there is obviously no Microsoft Windows disc included. I simply reused the components, with the OS. Would I be able to manually boot from said partition from the BIOS of the new board? New board will be an ASUS Z97-AR by the way.

no HP Recovery usb/partitions are linked to the MOBO

Download an iso that matchs your key. and put onto a usb drive.
