Windows Update

Hi I have a HP Pavillion 15 Notebook Pc. I am running windows 8.1 but no matter how many things I try my updates never install properly.I have run the windows update fixing tool multiple times each time it tells me it fixed the error but no luck. It always stops working whether restarting install  to  updates or just after it downloades the updates when it starts to install them.

Try a fresh install of windows.

Why is it not wanting to update?
