i am wondering if changing from my ASUS USB-N53 Dual Band USB Wireless Adapter to a CAT7 Ethernet cable will improve my internet speed & ping in games because my speed can vary anywhere from 7mb up to 8.5mb  and my ping on speedtest.net is around 40 but when playing games such as CSGO and many other my ping can be anywhere from 70-100 even when im the only person online with no background tasks running i thinks this could be due to me having around 2-3 bars of signal but would going for and Ethernet help solve the problem

Yes, going for Ethernet should help the problem because it gives a far more consistent connection speed and better pings.

Ethernet ALWAYS > WiFi.

I only use WiFi if I have to; aka laptops and desktops in rooms without ports.

No, it will not make your water drinkable with your download or upload speeds, if that's what you're asking.

 

It may or may not increase your throughput but it will make your experience better because of far better pingtimes.
