Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with AMD driver update.

The catalyst 15.7 driver found here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+8.1+-+64

Says it support my graphics card (7870).

The problem is that whenever I install it and check the catalyst software, it says version 14.4.

How do I update to 15.7?

Note: I'm running Windows 8, not 8.1 (is there an issue with that?)

Thanks for the help.

I was afraid that was the issue. Do you think the windows 7 drivers might work?

but you can upgrade for free to 8.1 right?

I have an oem product key so when I use the windows installer tool it says I cannot update.

Just update it through window update? Or download the ISO and do a clean install.

Just go to windows store and the update should be ready to download (maybe windows update can too, not sure). Also understand you need 8.1 to update to Windows 10.

Im doing a clean install right now but for some reason my ssd won't install. Says install files missing. So I installed it to a hard drive and I'm cloning it to the ssd right now. It's taking a very long time.

can't find it in the store.

Apparently that is not unknown. Try this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/update-from-windows-8-tutorial to see how to normally install the update. If that does not work, try the troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/why-can-t-find-update-store
