Corsair sp 120mm ( quiet edition ) vs

IF you have low fin density radiators you can use any of the three but the Vortex(PWM is what i think you mean) would be best as they are cheaper than the nb-loops but only in a vertical position. The Cougars make a sort of ticking noise a low rps in a horizontal position.

Might i present these two for you....

  1. Rosewill Hyperborea the re-branded Akasa Apache
  2. Enermax Twister Pressure

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

The enermax looks cool, and yes is two low density rads from xspc, both 360mm, but what about sound wise? Which is louder and which is quieter?

AP123s arent the prettiest fans but they are very quiet with a good performance. EK Vardars are expensive but for what i've seen very good (Makes sense, after all EK should know what they are doing by now) and the Fractal design Venturis also came out recently and got great reviews, i think either of those would be a solid choice. Ive heard good things about the Enermax and they look nice. Hyperboreas are great if you are on a tighter budget, but since you were willing to get NB-eloops i assume thats not the case.

It depends on who you set them up. What could he mean by that you may ask well, the Hyperboreas are the quieter one of the two at 12volts but that is not to say that the Enermax can't be just as quiet with just the same of more performance. The Enermax has three settings that are controlled via a switch on the fan itself. I am currently using the Enxemax on my 360mm radiator from the Hyperboreas and they are better from my temperatures but not by much, like about 3-4C but only at load, idle temperatures are about the same. However they do a better job for exhausting the overall case's hot air out of the case faster then the Hyperboreas with my configuration.

I have 2x 140 hyperboreas in front and 1x 140mm on the bottom as intakes and 1x 120mm hyperborea back and 3x120 twister pressure top as exhaust.

Oh one more thing the Enermax is better which has nothing to do with performance, the blades could be taken off to be washed or cleaned how you want then just snaps back on. The Hyperboreas are IP-54 (military standard moisture and dust protection)
