Booted up my computer today and, to my delight, saw that the newest patch for the Witcher 3 finally arrived.  So, I figured I'd write about my initial thoughts...

The new stash locations are a welcome addition.  I immediately reduced my inventory by half by unloaded all the swords I collected.  However, I noticed that, even though alchemy ingredients don't weigh anything anymore, this doesn't have a significant impact on the overall weight carried.

In regards to the alternate Geralt movement, there really isn't any overt difference compared to the original.  That being said, it just FEELS betters -- I can't really describe it, but I'm sure other folks might agree with me.

Finally, I must mention that when I first booted up the game after installing the new patch, it reset ALL of my settings (graphics, controls, everything).  This wasn't as annoying as the fact that I was greeted by an infinite boot screen when trying to start up my latest save.  Not cool at all.  I eventually had to hard reset my computer, which then reset my MSI afterburner overclock profiles for some unknown reason.

Once I got past all of this, though, the game ran as well as ever.  I can't wait to start a new playthrough now that CDPR has implemented this important improvements to the game.
