Soooo, how do I start? I just got a msi r9 390 yesterday, and while running it, i stupidly put my hand in the case to grab a piece of paper inside while the fans were running fullspeed. I hit the fan, and one of the blades broke off. When i turned the system back on, the graphics card vibrates like crazy, along with my cpu cooler when the fan turns on. Now, i've looked online, and this problem has happened to people in the past, and most of them said that msi will not RMA it due to physical damage by the owner. I tried looking on ebay, but there is only twin Frozr II fans for sale, while I need TF V. Do any of you guys know if msi will sell or send individual parts, or do i have to try to super glue it as other people have done. I really do not want to RMA because I am only in the US for the summer, and have 2 more weeks left here, meaning that the RMA may take too long for me to pick up before I leave the US. Any other ideas are also welcome.

RMA won't be accepted, I'm 99% sure of it. You broke it due to your mistake, that's why they won't RMA. They should have replacement fans via a service center/partner, the same way they have them for laptops but they can't be found via ebay or places like that. The price shouldn't be high. I wouldn't superglue a fan that spins at high RPM... just saying...

If I remember rightly, some vendors will give you spare parts for their stuff in some cases due to accidental damage, although I don't know for certain.

Give MSi a call or an email through customer services and see if they'll ship a replacement fan. Check the website, and you might find one.

EDIT: I found a customer service mini-site on the MSi US website. https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/customerservice.aspx

Go through the stuff there and it might help you.

Go to customer service on their website or try to find a local dealership. I'm not sure how that works in the US. But here the brand partners have those parts or they can order them for you and you can replace them yourself or have them replace it.

I tried to call them, but they dont answer on weekends it seems. I also cant seem to find any local dealerships that have spare parts. I guess ill have to wait for replacement, or just superglue it. Other people have done it, so hopefully it will work.

Sure, wait till monday if you can, but I suggest that you leaver superglue as a last solution. I'm not a fan of gluing moving parts, especially high speed parts! :D

1) change whole cooler (http://www.arctic.ac/worldwide_en/accelero-xtreme-iv.html)

2) supergluring qiuck fix but risk affecting the plastics surrounding to have extra white coating and if you are not careful a single drop into components or PCB will cause perment damage.

3) cement glue but you have to hold it in place and wait for hours to dry, and a day to cure.

if I were you I would play save send it for RMA, give a lame excuse if they every ask about the blades and pray for the best before trying something else. That way at least you still have your warrenty. The 3 above options will void your warrenty as it show signs of modding.

Btw you ask can request to shipped to different address, Ive tried shipping to my office instead, it works.

I'm on a loaner GTX 590 from a friend and it too had one fan blade broken off. The vibration made my whole desk shake and the first time it was running full speed I was panicking to shut my PC down. I found the model number of the fan and ordered a replacement on Aliexpress. It's fine now and temps are way better.

That's no moon, that's a death ball !
