So i'm still in the planning of my first ever build. I was wondering if what I had planned for air cooling would be a-ok. The case i'll be using is a Corsair 300R with a 970. I'll be cooling a 4690k CPU with a Hyper 212 EVO which i'm planning to have pull air out the back of the case and have the fan that comes in the back of the case up top pulling air out the top. The case also comes with a front panel fan which I would leave there and then place an extra fan on the side panel. So technically I would have air being pulled out the back of the case with the EVO and out top with another fan then have a fan in the front and on the side panel blowing air in.

my planned build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TpGmZL (some parts are missing because they are already bought)

Did you both even read the whole post? I'm asking if my plans for cooling are good.  Thanks for the replies.

the msi gpu runs cooler that was my suggestion

I was just saying ;)

I did say that the rest looked good (reference to the cooling)

Thank you both. Sorry if my wording sounded harsh at all. @grayblizzard I was actually really considering the MSi over ASUS 970  :P

Seems fine I have a friend with a 4690k with a hyper 212 evo and he is getting 40 to 50 under idle. Not sure about load. Might not need that side panel fan as it might not do very much and might cause a lot of vibrations

The reason I want an extra fan is because I want to keep as much air circulation as a prevention for as little dust as possible. Would it be better located in the front maybe?

So is the fan on the side panel an intake? If so there would be dust coming in since there is no filter on the side panel. If it is an exhaust then there would be negative airflow in the case and once again dust in the case. If you insist on having a side panel fan you might want to have magnetic filter and but that would not fix the vibration issue

If you want less dust than you should have bought a case with more dust filters (or a fully dust proof case)

I plan on filtering every intake fan. Yes, both the front and side panel fan if I were to put them in those spots would be intake, while the EVO and the top panel fan would be outtake. I'll even be getting a top panel dust filter, with a dust filter for the side panel fan if I were to do that. So i'm prepared for the dust. Since you think there might be vibrations if I put the fan on the side panel, would it make air cooling any better if I were to add it to the front?

It should but not by much. Like 10 degrees maximum
