no contest i would get a i7 4790k if you have good cooler and can afford it or a 4790 will save you and still be enough performance

GTX970 is better but again its all about cost.

Only difference is CPU? The i7 is better for those uses listed.

Depends on how much video editing you're doing but if it's a decent amount then I would go for the 4790k.

No I would chose to have an I7 as he is doing a lot of video editing and rendering.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

If you are going to be doing a good amount of streaming and editing as well as if it is heavy stuff then yes. But with that CPU cooler you won't get a high OC maybe .2-.4 GHz. If you aren't OCing at all then I'd say get the Xeon E3 1231 and with the extra money saved for CPU use it to get a 970.

Would happen to have a decent laptop (or even the current pc you use now) laying around? You can use that stream more efficiently.

Thanks Josh,

That ssd is a terrible one, and should be avoided at all costs. Do you even plan on overclocking? And you can do much better than that video card.
