The biggest fighting game tournament starts later today at Bally’s / Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, the Evolution championship series 2015.  It runs from July 17th - 19th. Visit http://evo.shoryuken.com for more information.

Registration is up this year in every category except for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and there will be two Smash Bros. tournaments.  Here are the participant registration numbers:

  • Ultra Street Fighter IV – 2227
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – 1926
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee – 1869
  • Mortal Kombat X – 1162
  • Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- – 968
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – 816
  • Tekken 7 – 458
  • Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – 437
  • Killer Instinct – 397

Tournament brackets can be found HERE and streaming schedules can be found HERE.  It will be streamed on Twitch.

 

In addition to the main card, there is also a ridiculous amount(22) of side tournaments at the event. Get HYPE!

Not watching a stream where I have to pay 12 bucks to unlock source quality, sellouts!

 

VODs are free though. But last time they went under subscription mode after month.

Crazy finish to the USF4 grand final. Momochi's fight stick stops working on the last round of the championship match. He's sponsored by Razer but had to finish the match on a borrowed madcatz stick.
