Here are the specs of my laptop

 

CPU: i7 4510u

 

GPU: R7 M265

 

RAM: 16gb

 

OS: Win8 64bit

 

I only get about 15 fps (w/ everything on low)

 

Note: This is a laptop so I am not willing to upgrade

You have a laptop with a R7 m265, that's why you can't run GTA V very well

That GPU is slower than a HD7730/Potato. Hard to get a playable experience for GTA:V imo. 

 

Btw can you confirm the game use your AMD GPU instead of Intel HD Graphic?

make sure youre not using the intergrated gpu

Play GTA 3 and pretend its 5, until you can get a machine capable of playing GTA5.

You can't disable it. Go into Catalyst CP and set High Performance graphic for GTA5.

Sorry for late reply, but I did manage to get the game playable at 1280x720 Textures high, everything else normal with minimum 29, average 35-45
