Wait does it have an i7 or an i5?

Also it has no dedicated graphics so it wont run games very well, mainly lower settings.

Here is benchmark results to see how well it runs games:

It's a laptop, it'll run. If you wanna put an SSD in it, look at the cover plates because you'll void your warrenty taking it apart so if it has no hard drive bay cover you'll be taking a lot apart. I picked my laptop over others simply for the access on the bottom.

CPU: i5-4690K @ 4.0GHz GPU: Gigabyte Gtx 970 WindForce MOBO: Gigabyte Z97 Gaming-3 CASE: Corsair Carbide 200R PSU: Corsair RM750

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4GBx4  MOUSE: CM Mizar KEYBOARD: Logitec G110

Yeah if you have a main rig then go for i5, but honestly go to a store and have a look at it properly because MOST laptops are fine to buy new

If your minimum is 6, look for ones with 8. My laptops rated at 6 hours, it does around 4 on power saver.

Maybe you could buy a Microsoft Surface, it is a tablet but they're decently powerful for just school work and web browsing
