Migrating Windows 7/10 to an SSD

Hi there with Windows 10 around the corner i purchased a new faster SSD to hold my OS. However my OS is installed on a HDD and I need to know the best way to migrate the OS over without losing data, or would it be better to wait for Windows 10 to release and have that install on to the SSD or install 7 onto the SSD. Thanks for any of the help  :)

There are guides everywhere on the Internet, but if it were me, I'd migrate it now and then upgrade to win 10 afterwards (ssds can upgrade faster than hdds). However, I'm not sure if upgrading to win 10 will result in data loss; it's something to think about.
