My taskbar is completely bugged out. I can't pin/unpin anything anymore, and when i right click the "File Explorer" or the "Start" button it does nothing...

I tried to do the most popular fix that involved making a new user account and copying some files from the new user account to the account with the bugged taskbar, you can see that process here:

This did not work though. I really want to fix this crap, help.  :(

Ctrl+Shift+Escape go to Processes and kill explorer.exe

Then Ctrl+Alt+Delete if the Taks Manager closed and click Start Task Manager

Then click File>New Task (Run...)>explorer

This did not work

Have you tried restoring defaults?

Do you mean resetting to factory defaults? Like completely deleting everything and starting from scratch? If so, i would rather wait for windows 10.

Don't wait for Windows 10. Grab it while it's still free!

You can upgrade using Windows Update if you're an Insider and it will move all of your programs and files over to the new install as well.

If you have Uxpatcher installed on your system, re-install it. That fixed my UI lagging and unresponsiveness issues when I upgraded from 8 to 8.1.

Don't install it if you haven't already got it though as it may make your problem worse.

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.
