I won't be upgrading till later this year when intels new flagship comes out, and I'm getting sick of SLI so I want to cut down to a single GPU but only if it doesn't cost performance over my 780's

yeh the 980ti will beat your card most likely so go for it

In SLI optimized games I think it'll be pretty close, for everything else the 980Ti will be far more powerful.
