Just like the topic title says. I would like to know the best GPU i could posibly get without getting bottleneck. Since currently i'm using NVIDIA Geforce 8800GT since my 260GTX broke. Here is my current computer setup i know it's old but i don't think i need to upgrade my entire system yet as i can pretty much run any games.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9650

Memory: Geil 8GB Kit (4x2GB) DDR2 Black Dragon Dual Channel C5 800MHz

seems to be still a decent cpu, I'd get a gtx 960, a 970 will also work but might be bottlenecked in some few games, what exact Power Supply do you have cuz thats important ifnyou wanna get a higher tdp card from AMD or so

Ehh, I'd say like a GTX 970 or R9 390. Maybe a 390X or GTX 980, but I think it might bottleneck. That processor is pretty old.

Sarcasm much?

Seriously though, the CPU will bottleneck a lot of newer GPUs, anything over a 750 or R7 260 will be bottlenecked.

Like I said, maybe a GTX 970. I don't really know that processor well, but it can definitely run a bit more than a GTX 750.

Lol

I do plan on getting a 4690K soon, tho. And a 390x, so people will stop bugging me about my FX processor.

fak ur fx procisser, doe I would just get a r9 390 for the fx and use Mantle and when the fx 6300 makes games unplayabl, i would switch to the latest i5

Nope. I am buying a new board and the 4690K then I am selling the FX, the old board, and the old GPU for a new 390X.
