For anyone interested, this is what the Ascend P8 looks like:

I think calling it an iPhone rip-off makes as much sense as calling any rectangle with a big screen an "iPhone rip-off". I'd like to see anyone design any phone that's not an iPhone rip-off if even this one qualifies for it.

The sides are basically identical down to the placement of the antenna bands, the and the back is identical to the back of the iPhone 6 except the top area, which is instead identical to the iPhone 5/5S. It's subjective, but I don't call phones like the HTC One or even the S6 ripoffs because the front and back look completely different.
