Its not lagging, its low fps ;) have you tried lowering the graphical qualities of the game?

Patch 1.28 completely mutilated performance of the PC version of GTA V.

The game cannot run properly until they either roll back the update or fix it with a new one.

Even Rockstar acknowledged the issue.

I use the default settings that i got since i play the game, i also see other youtubers that have the same GPU and CPU run on ultra smoothly on 50 fps ish, while my frame rate isn't smooth?

For GTA V on an FX-6300 you should turn down view distance, population density, and population diversity (whatever it's called) to about 75% of max to get less FPS dips. You can also turn down your shadow settings, These are all CPU intensive settings, but after changing them the FX-6300 does reasonably well in GTA V. I very very rarely get dips below 60fps on a GTX 970 and FX-6300 4.4ghz. I play at 1440p DSR though which takes load off of the CPU and puts it onto the GPU

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)
