PSU evolution question

Hi All

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my i5-3570k rig (new mobo & case ordered) and was wondering if there's any further evolution of PSU's? I'm very much inclined for the modular design but didn't want spend £90+ if there's something better/evolutionary down the line that's publicly known. Any ideas?

I don't think there are any major upcoming developments in PSUs, and i don't think there will be for a long time. Their purpose is so simple i don't think we want to overcomplicate it.

 

Buy away! just make sure it's good, never skimp on a PSU

there won't be a huge diff between a 3x00 intel cpu and the newer 4x00 series cpu

And techguru, I will be keeping the same CPU, just upgrading my mobo to allow over clocking...

I'm going to patiently wait until its worth upgrading from my i5-3570k!

PSUs haven't changed in a long time and they won't change for a long time. Just get what you can now.
