So i've just re-overclocked my 970 FTW+ However i'm unsure on the results.

What i want to know is why my physics score fluctuates so much and why my score sometimes goes down on some tests. Then also could someone help me figure out what settings to use?

Also it would be nice to know if i have made any mistakes with the overclocks and if anybody could point them out it would be appreciated <3

One more thing. I'm confused as to why my card is failing at 1530 or so when i've heard people get to 1580 and over with this card.... idk. Just weird. Someone help?

hey danny ;) physics is due to your cpu not gpu, second of all its called the silicone lottery, you may wanna put a custom bios on your gpu and see what happens.

ps you spent £60 more than me and it doesnt oc as well hehe, unlucky.

I'm not a massive overclocker but here's what I think

What i want to know is why my physics score fluctuates so much and why my score sometimes goes down on some tests.

Physics score will be down to your CPU, and the score going down on the graphics tests may be due to thermal throttling. I believe these cards start throttling back at 80'C no matter what overclocking you do to them

One more thing. I'm confused as to why my card is failing at 1530 or so when i've heard people get to 1580 and over with this card

Not all boards are created equal. Each graphics card (and CPU for that matter) is slightly different and each one will overclock differently. You just have to test how far yours will go and find your upper limit.

CPU: AMD 7800X3D  | GPU: Asus Dual RTX 2080 Advanced | RAM: 32GB 6000MHz CL30 | Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-F

PSU: Corsair RX750 | OS: Windows 11 64-Bit | Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB (Brown Switches)

i know him in real life lel, he got 1554mhz before when we tested together, i guess its either failing or its just not wanting it anymore, it could possibly be a driver issue though.

Ah I was not aware that he achieved it before with the same card, in that case, I'm not sure. Like you say it may be a driver issue then!
