Hey , just got at question about normal operation temperature on the windforce gtx 980 gaming 1 card. Temperatures on my card can peak at 67 C-even saw 73C while playing witcher 3. The fans on the card are running on auto settings. I know it is within safe margains but with that giant windforce cooler I would have expected a bit more cooling capacity. Everyting on stock settings in the gigabyte guru software.

I got a fractal design r4 chassi with one 140mm fan se as exhaust , one 140 mm set as intake on the side panel, one 140 mm as intake on the bottom , and one 140 mm se as intake from the front of the case. the cpu is cooled with u12S with two noctua fans on both sides as exhaust. The psu is the to exhaust at the bottom rear. The fans are configurated to standard in bios. running around 500-800 rpm. (all case fans are noctua). Cpu: 5820k , x99 asus-a board, 16 gb ram corsair , xfx 750W psu, segate hdd.

best regards.

Those aren't bad temps; the temps you should be worried about should be anything above 80-85 degrees
