I've oc'd my i5 4690k to 4.0Ghz and set the voltage to 1.100V. Is that enough voltage for the oc? Or should I bump it up a little.

all chips are diffrent but as long as its stable and temps are fine your ok

run ASUS RealBench or IntelBurnTest for an hour

 

 

EDIT: isn't the 4690K already at 4.0 GHz boost clock at stock???

OC options on my mobo are grayed out. Any help for that?

I've tested it on Prime95 and temperatures hit 82 degrees max. 

 

run ASUS RealBench or IntelBurnTest for an hour

It comes at 3.5 Ghz stock.-

82 degrees is fine leave it for 12 hours and if its still running its fine !

What are you cooling it with? 1.1v @82C is a bit high, even for P95.

I think you are thinking about the i7 4790k that's 4.0 at stock

4690K has 3.9 GHz boost clock at stock

and 4790K has 4.4 GHz boost clock at stock

I was stalking about non boost

is there any scenario where it doesn't hit the boost clock (except for idle)

my 5820k is on adaptive clock and it practically always hit's 4.2 boost on the core that's doing anything relevant

got mine to 4.6ghz stable at 1.23v.
