Hi all,

I would like to upgrade my CPU and motherboard but I'm on a budget of around ~$200. I'm open to both AMD and Intel.

I'm thinking of buying the Sapphire R9 290  (separate from the $200 budget I mentioned) as my old GTX 560 broke. It seems like a very good bang for the buck card. Let me know if you think there are better replacements!

Here are my current specs:

CPU: AMD FX 6100 @ 3.3 Ghz

Motherboard: Gigabyte M68MT-S2

RAM: DDR3 2X4 GB @ 1333 Mhz by Adata

GPU: Broken GTX 560 (thinking about getting R9 290?)

PSU: Be quiet! Pure Power 630 W

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 120 GB SSD
Case: AZZA CSAZ-402S SECC ATX Mid Tower

Thanks in advance! :)

That fx 6100 may hold that r9 290, but I'm not sure how bad.

I would suggest saving a little more to get better fps per dollar.
