What for: gaming and video editing

I will play games like GTAV, CSGO, and many games but I can't think of ( you should recommend some games)

I will use Sony Vegas Pro for video editing. I'm not good with photoshop for now so I'm using paint.net although I might use photoshop.

Budget: $1500 (Max $2000) Try to keep around 1500 though.

Monitors: 1920x1080, thin bezel, good colors, less than 5ms if possible. If not then use H236HLbid. (3 monitors needed)!!!

KB/Mouse: K70 RGB CHERRY MX BROWN, ROCCAT KONE XTD

OS: Windows 8.1

Headphones: m50x

Would like i7-4790k & 980ti. (Can 980ti run 5760x1080 on high?)

Cost: $1700

You will be able to max out gta V at 1080p with the sli 970s

And that cpu is amazing for editing/application use.

I do not recomend overcloking it is overpriced.

Have any questions? just PM me

Tower is $1540

monitors are $360

supports GPU boost for faster video encoding.

Things you can add/change:

bigger SSD: I only have a 60GB for OS boost drive; could go to a 250GB for loading video files faster when editing and store the finished/edited video on the 1TB.

Edit: added fans to case, and change monitors to ISP with a thinner bezel

-snip-

Ok, I redid my build but could not get it under $2000 ($153.18 over). This is a really hard build to get under $2000 using a i7 with high end GPUs. And the $390 in peripherals was a big wrench in this build.

I would highly recommend changing your keyboard and headset to lower costs.

If you can't fit 2 extra monitors it's alright, also for the headphones, can't fit then don't try to.

Although should I get i7-4690k if I still can't afford over 2000? Or still have i7-4790k? Will there a big difference?

For gaming go with the 4690k. Games are optimized for i5 processors and you can overclock this thing to insane heights. Only go with an i7 if you plan on streaming alot.
