I'm pretty sure you get a license key, you have to download the ISO from Microsoft's website.

I'm not sure if this works with an iMac but this is the website I used to obtain my ISO - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Alternatively just torrent it if it doesnt work, I'd advise you dont buy a key from G2a, its a grey area, you're going to get a key that might be part of a subscription which will expire or be blocked.

Thanks for trying, but EXE's don't work on mac

try using this method http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx but instead of ubuntu iso use the windows iso

you can download a copy of windows iso by downloading it here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only use your product key to download it.

but g2a usually has OEM keys which microsoft doesn't allow you to download the iso. So you should just use the LEGAL generic keys microsoft provides

which are the following afaik

note: generic keys were released to easen up VL installs they will allow you to install windows but it won't be activated so you still need a legit key

  • Core/Home=334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT
  • Core/Home N=6NPQ8-PK64X-W4WMM-MF84V-RGB89
  • Core/Home Single Language=Y9NXP-XT8MV-PT9TG-97CT3-9D6TC
  • Professional=XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB
  • Professional N=JRBBN-4Q997-H4RM2-H3B7W-Q68KC
  • Professional with Media Centre=GBFNG-2X3TC-8R27F-RMKYB-JK7QT

if you bought the pro version just use the XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB it's a safer bet.

Once you've finished downloading the iso use the intructions for making the bootable usb (provided above)

on installation it will ask for a product key(unless you downloaded a VL iso from another source) use your OEM key.

just in case you it doesn't work you can just use the GENERIC key  again. and activate it later on by going to System properties and click on activate windows and use the OEM key.
