Powering on issue

This is a brand new computer i've just built for my dad to just simply browse the internet.

 

Situation:  I power on the Computer, i do whatever i need to do, i power it off for a good while (at least 4 hours) and when i try to power it back on nothing happens.  To get it to power on i have to flip the power switch on the Power supply and flip it back on.  Once i do that it will continue as if i just put the computer to sleep (very minimal boot up time)

 

But if it is only off for 15-30 minutes pressing the power button works just like normal

Mobo: Asus Z97-e

Mem: EVGA 16Gb(2x8) - 1600Mhz

Storage: 120gb SSD

Case: Thermaltake v3

PSU: Corsair 430W Bronze

 

 

Things i've tried so far:

• removing the Motherboard battery, powering it on, shutting it down and re-inserting mobo battery
• completely disconnecting all Power supply cables and reconnecting

So i'm really looking for suggestions guys!  thanks in advance!

remove gpu and run it with iGPU, if that doesn't work test the ram by removing them module by module.

@Comic_Sans_MS alright i removed 1 stick, now just have to let it sit powered off for a little bit to try to recreate the situation. i'll let you know! thanks for the suggestion
