Linus said it, or maybe that was for AMD CPU's

I don't belive they are releasing any cpu's this year, that may have been it

Amd is releasing their cards at the end of Q3, in september, the new AMD cards are coming soon, not sure where you heard that, but they confirmed it...

you were right they originally said that they didn't have plans for a new video cars this year but they changed that and said that they are coming out with them. CPUs are for very late q4 I believe.
