By some weird luck I have got my hands on A10-5800k system that I want to set for my bro. He plays games, nothing special,  like CS and HotS, occasionally even WoT and WoW (some private server). He plays on LG flatron F720B (bough it 2005 damn monitor just refuse to die :P ) with 1280 x 1024 max resolution. So i got CPU - Z from net and scaned the name on mobo. Its ASUS  A55BM-K, ( here is the link I found ) Btw I have 1x 4 gb 1866 fury ram modul on it.

So I was wandering is OC of this processor and iGpu on it a good idea? It is a K model after all. Is OC of this model gonna bring any noticeable gains or is it just a waste of power and heat? Also, I have stock cooler on CPU.

If you can overclock the IGP, that should bring noticeable gains. I would suggest buying a better cooler before attempting any kind of overclock.

Well it came free so I cant complain really :P Hm, I ll see to dig up some better cooler somewhere cause spending lot of money on this build isnt an option for now. Maybe to pair it up with that 750 cause it is quad core but AMD quad. I got that ugly feeling that 960 will be too much for it seeing its a pretty "old" model. (on the other hand whats really new in AMD store :P). So I'll check PSU for some detail and look on net but I think that 750ti is gonna fit perfectly cause of very low power consumption. Probably gonna do some tests fow now. On this iGPU and resolution it runs most games really nice with medium settings. Lol if little bro doesn't complain on it or sommething maybe I wont mention any gpu upgrade :P

tell him you gave him a quad SLI TitanX setup but the cards will run away if he ever opens it up

LMAO :D  Gonna tell him that APU comes with cobra inside as stock cooler so that will also cover the noise. Ofc, if he opens he gets bitten to death by AMD cooling solution :P Damn he is gonna grow up to be Nvidia fan boy cause of white lies :D

good review here:

You could try overclocking the ram some. 8 gig would be better since some of that 4 gig will be taken by the igpu.

Jayztwocents stuck a gtx 770 in an A10 7850k and was blown awy how good it works but thats steamroller not piledriver. 960 might work quite well, I would try it just to see what it does.

Its either GPU or ram with better cooler. Budget is around 75 dollars for this right now. I can drop extra money to buy GPU but that's it. The extra money would have to come from some other project so i am not fond of idea yet. Maybe in month or two when I get more funds. While browsing the net I found another stick or ram for around 40 dollars. As for cooler I am in the dark really cause I have only done small OC's with stock coolers in past so I am not familiar with the market. I saw some good reviews of be quiet! coolers but still unit like dark rock 3 is little over my budget for this type of build. Can someone recommend some good and cheap cooler? I know those two words aren't best buddies when it comes to PC components but I would need some best bang for the buck cooler for 35-40 dollars.
