Optimising PC for gaming?

Once you've built your pc and installed your drivers do you do any further steps to optimize the system for gaming? Like..reducing input lag..using software such as Razer Gamebooster to minimize load other than gaming load etc?

no. why would you need game booster if u have a gaming pc that is optimised for games..

I just turn off mouse acceleration, that's pretty much it, software that makes games run "better" is pretty much useless, just don't have shitload of stuff running in the background.

Yeah. Using a 3rd party program that "reduces load" is just adding load.

Close Chrome and other programs. That`s it.
