760 vs 770

Hey everyone,

 

I'm upgrading my PC soon and its time to get a new GPU. If I lived in the US or UK I'd happily get a 770 but in here in SA it costs about $520, whereas the 760 costs $330.

Is it worth the extra cash? If I don't get the 770 I'll most likely get a corsair H100i for my 2500k. 

 

Also: Apparently the 760ti isn't happening at all? Otherwise I'd hold out for that.

what do you have now to cool the cpu? if its something good enough just get the 770!

whats the price equivilant amd that you can get? in most benchamrks amd beats nvidia for bang/buck plus comes with games, where are you buying from?

eish, I knew someone would suggest an AMD card... I'm just a shameless Nvidia fanboy. In anycase I'm getting directly from the Gigabyte supplier :) And I did consider the 7950 believe me.... I might just wait to see what the 9XXX has in store.

7950 would be a great option...what's the price there?

A little bit more expensive at $370. Two games however!

i say wait for 9000 series because the current was released during the 500 series of nvidia and is still competing with the 700 series

Only problem with teh 9000 is that it will probably only reach our shores late October and this is rather urgent /:
