I have been looking on youtube about this subject and there seems to be a lot of contradicting stuff on there about how to set up a PS4 controller on PC. I will be running Windows 8.1, not sure if that makes any difference from Window 8 when it comes to this. I'm pretty sure the Asus bluetooth 4.0 adapter that I ordered will work. I'm guessing the drivers for the adapter will load when you plug it in. What I'm wondering about is where to go from here to get the correct drivers set up to run the ps4 controller. Can anyone help? Again this is for Wndows 8.1

You need to download InputMapper. To connect the PS4 controller, open Input Mapper and then go to bluetooth settings in the PC Settings app. Hold down the share and PS button on the controller at the same time until the light bar starts blinking, and select "Wireless Controller" from the bluetooth menu in Windows 8. You're now connected and it should work.

I do this every day and it works. Here's the link to get input mapper: https://inputmapper.com
