Startup Issues

So recently when I try to start my PC Everything sounds and looks normal, the fans are doing their things and no weird sounds at all. But on RANDOM occasions it just keeps going, fans rolling but nothing happens. My main screen just flips on and off but it never starts, so there is a slight connection at least. After waiting a couple of minutes just in case, nothing happens and I decide to kill it. I do not have to hold it down for a few seconds, it dies as soon as I touch the button. Starting again might have the same issue OR it might just start smoothly.

 

Sometimes I have to do this 2-4 times to get it to start properly, any clues?

can be a few things. best is to remove all components and add 1 at a time and see if you can get it to post. keep in mind a wrecked hdd/ssd can also cause post issues

Pop out 1 ram stick. boot up, see if it's works. if it does, pop it back in and you're done.

Ooooh.. Don't like the sound of that.

it can be tedious to pull out all parts, the other option is to remove 1 at a time and see if it makes a diff. as mvpernula said, ram can be touchy so maybe try that first
