hi all,

i need some help to build a gaming build for about £500 which is roughly $796.28 US.

i would be doing light gaming on it, watching videos, school work, internet browsing.

i am not planning on overclocking it in the near future and would like an Intel core i5

with any parts that are put together i will also need an wireless card included in the price

many thanks to all who help

yes sorry forgot

i will need an os and a keyboard and mouse

Here's the best i could come up with on the budget. Crap i take that back, no wireless antenae. One moment. I'll modify it shortly.

You might consider swapping the case for something you more prefer. I tossed in a real generic one.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£137.36 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard: Asus H81M-K Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£41.08 @ Dabs)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R7 370 4GB Video Card  (£139.98 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Cooler Master Force 500 ATX Mid Tower Case  (£28.92 @ Amazon UK)
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN781ND 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter  (£7.54 @ CCL Computers)
Other: Windows 8.1 Pro (Can be Upgraded to 10) (£16.25)
Total: £515.33
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

And if you can't afford the extra 15gbp, then go for this.

ok and thank you for the help

I see atmos gave a complete list, if I you can wait a bit longer you might get the rumored 950 ti, which would allow you to get a lower wattage PSU, and maybe save some money.

At the expense of performance though. The 4gb 370 is toe to toe with the 960, and unless nvidia shoot themselves in the foot with the 950 it shouldn't be any faster than a 960.

And the difference in powerdraw at this level is very menial in the long term of things. Ok, so to game 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, the 370 costs about 15$ more than the 960? But that's a year. I'm seriously doubting anyone would willingly sacrifice performance for an extra 15$ a year.

Good point, like I said it's just a rumor, but they did shoot themselves in the foot with the 980ti, after that the titan x became a luxury item, and a stupid luxury it at that.

The 980ti if the was not done as so, would not have been able to compete with the fury x, so they might do something similar.

If you don't want to wait I'd be all for the AMD side, I want more prole to buy AMD because I'm sick of the things nvidia is doing.

Wasn't talking about the 980ti xD They shot themselves in the foot with the 960, by releasing it at too high of a price. Other cards out there were less expensive and hands down much better performers. Which is why, almost unprecedentedly they lowered the price within the 2 week of launch; something just not done before.

I know you didnt, but it's somewhat the same, with that being said , yea the 960 was just not competitive enough
