GPU benchmarks

I was wondering why it's so. GTX 960 has 5980 score :http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+960

and R9 280x only 5195: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7970+%2F+R9+280X

buuuuut, r9 280x has better game performance, why its so? should i trust this page for scores?

that page is useless

3d mark scores are useless too

in fact, personally, all synthetic benchmarks are useless

That isn't numbers based on benchmarking FPS in games so it can differ as its a different type of test/strain on the GPU. the list has the 390 way below the 970 which is untrue in gaming as well but This list is Passmark Scores not gaming. This list may be accurate but if your only buying it to game on i would then look at gaming Benchmarks more so then this one as that's what you'll actually be seeing the difference in as that's what you'll be using it for.
