We are proud that the next generation of computer processors developed here in Israel and it will come to the whole world soon. We have no doubt that our employees are engaged in the peen of the technology world. We're very proud of and want to say thank you for the hard work (that almost all the world will also see)

Intel has been expanding heavily into Israel in recent years, I think. Interesting information from the Wikipedia article for Sandy Bridge: "Developed primarily by the Israeli branch of Intel, the codename was originally 'Gesher' (meaning "bridge" in Hebrew)."

Is Intel an jewish or american company ?

They're an American company, their headquarters is in Santa Clara, CA. But like most companies of this size they do business around the world. They've made several acquisitions of Israeli tech companies and have been given money by the Israeli government to expand into Israel.

:( not where i live

fret not. Its so overpriced that it isnt worth it by any means.

Unless you buy a broadwell CPU as part of a laptop or NUC, just dont. The price for hte standalone CPU chip is like the price of the 7870k + mobo + ram and depending on offers, sometimes you can chip a hyper 212 into the mix too before reaching broadwell prices... At that point, youd gotten most of a computer that will perform 20% worse (but you can OC the GPU on the AMD APU to regain some of that performance gap), but at nearly 200 USD total price less.

I would really wait for the 1151 to come much more years for upgrading options and 30-40% performance increase (I think :P)
