No.

G-Sync is a chip that is installed in the monitor itself and thats why theyre expensive :(

That sucks. I wanted to pick up a nice 1440p monitor with Gsync for a reasonable price, but the only one I could find was the Asus ROG something something and it costs around $700. I guess the only way to keep my screen from tearing is to get a monitor with a higher refresh rate.

it doesn't work like that. youll get tearing on a high refresh rate monitor too. only way to eliminate tearing is to match fps with refresh.

just buy a 1440p monitor and a gpu powerful enough to maintain 60fps and use v sync.

I've used Vsync before (GTX 970 on a 1080p monitor) it's not very pleasant and the frame rate dips more often compared to having Vsync turned off. At the same time the image that I'm looking at doesn't feel right (I don't know if it's input lag or what but it doesn't seem very smooth to my eyes)

because you can only use V sync if your GPU is capable of maintaining 60fps or higher, dipping below will cause lag and slowdown.

basically your options are buying a g sync monitor or using v sync. i have a g sync monitor and honestly i dont think its worth it... v sync is good enough specially if you have a 60hz monitor. if you go for a 144hz g sync monitor then thats the best of both worlds. but id rather have 4k than 144hz
