I bought acrylic tubing from a hardware store which sells all kinds of plastic. I'm ordering fittings for my build so I decided to heat up a few test pieces and see what happens. I don't have a rubber core yet so I just heated the acrylic tube. I could feel it getting softer but after a minute or so it started to bubble. Did I heat it too much or is this acrylic just bad and I should get some made specially for water cooling?post-80418-0-78093200-1436375529_thumb.j

You need to heat it slowly otherwise it will blister. Make sure your heat gun is on a lower heat setting and try increasin the distance you hold the acrylic from the heat source. Spend a couple of minutes rotating the tube and be patient about it.
