Should i upgrade?

Depends on the CPU you're using. For example going from a 4820K quad-core to a 5820K six-core would be a sizeable improvement... but it's kind of a silly upgrade even so. Really the performance difference between DDR3 and DDR4 is quite small, so if you have X79 already and you have a six-core, there's no point in upgrading at all. If you're using either the 3820 or 4820K quad-cores and want better performance, then just getting a 4930K would be the way to go.
