Hey guys I am planing to make a new build. I have a fairly nice custom watercooled PC at the moment. Then why do you wan to change it you might ask. Well there are several reasons. First, I moved not too long ago and let me tell you it is damn heavy. It is easily around 70 pounds. Second, my dual GTX 670 aging rapidly. I could just replace video cards, but since I want to slim down I need to replace a bunch of other stuff so completely new build makes sense.
 

I have tossed a few ideas around. Particularly the idea of Mini ITX in Silverstone Raven RVZ01B. However since I found a white pcb video card and I was looking to have a bit more power then one card I decided to realize one of my older ideas of white build with black accents. So do meet the White Wolf!!!
 

The goal of the build it to be wispier quite, powerful, be white with the black accents and have quite the bling factor. Also I did not want to use watercooling on my GPU since I want my system to be smaller and more portable. Plus I did not find that the cost and hassle of GPU waterblocks worth the gain. I want to have more flexibility to upgrade in the future and having custom loop make it a tedious and expensive proposition. Oh and lastly fuck dust. The system has to be dust proof.
 

Here is my logic for the components:
 

CPU: I was looking at i7-5820K. The CPU itself was not much more expensive then i7-4790K, however the price increase of motherboard and RAM and the resulting minuscule gain in performance make the choice for me. Plus going with 1150 socket allowed me to get the only white pcb motherboard on the market. I could wait for Skylake, but what we know so far does not look to promising plus I dabut there will be an analog of mark S motherboard for the 1151 socket, at lease in the near future.
 

CPU Cooler: Well I still want to have a dissent performance plus I hate the look of air coolers and I do not want a full on custom loop. So AIO was my answer. This one might be a bit hard to get at lease I did not find any in stock at the moment. But if I will i would be swapping the tubing for white one and putting Ice Dragon liquid inside, might also change the fittings if the defaults look ugly in person. If I will not be able to find H-240X I might go back to the custom loop with no reservoir. We will see.
 

Thermal Compound: It is decent, but I have no particular attachment to it so if you have an idea chime in. I was looking at EK Indigo XS and CoolLaboratory Liquid Ultra and I do not think the performance out wights the hassle. But hey if you have first hand experience I would appreciate the advice.
 

Motherboard: It is WHITE!!! Nuf said.
 

Memory: It matches the board nicely, plus have a cool lighting pattern. Will start with 16 GB might ad another set in a year or so. Shame the pcb is not white, but we can't have it all though I doubt it will show much since RAM slots on the MB are black.
 

Storage: RAID 0 for system 250GB normally is enough for me and 850-EVO is great price performance bargain. Black series have not let me down in the past the size is due to Steam backlog.    Will most likely add another 1TB for special games. Look at you Star Citizen. The other option is Plextor M6e black edition. It is only half the size, will need the paint over to match the build and is more expensive though it is faster. I will think about it closer to the day.

 

Video Card: The star of the show. I found them out by accident. Never herd of the company but what I read online seemed decent. Not the most powerful of the Ti but very good and matches the build perfectly. Before I decided to go with all white build I was thinking to go with SLI EVGA GTX980 Ti hybrid. This is the best in class as far as I could find, but will not have such a bling factor.
 

Case: Quite, small, dust proofed, well designed, and is white with black accents. I love Fractal cases.
 

Power Supply: This was and still is my biggest headache. This one just came out and as far as I understand is based on Super Flower's excellent Leadex platform just in a smaller form factor. I picked it initially when I was looking to go with SLI Hybrids so I could mount their radiators on the bottom. since if you mount two fans on the bottom of Define R5 you PSU have to be 165mm long tops since the distance from the back of the case to the first fan is only 180mm. Sine I am not going with EVGA Hybrids any more I am much less constricted in that regard. However, I am still liking the idea to saturate case with air and create a strong positive pressure plus my new GPU's will need quite the supply of cold air. So here is my dilemma I can go with Seasonic Silent Snow 1050W the upsides are it is white and will not require a point over, has more wattage since GALAX cards require more power then a normal 980Ti it might be important. As the downside I will have to lose one fan since the unit is 200mm. The EVGA unit will need to be painted to match the build and is smaller, hoever I am afraid 850W might be a bit on a low side and I might constrict my system especially since I plan to put a small overclock on the CPU and GPU's. If you have any suggestion please do share since this is my biggest sticking point with the build. Any advice or critique will be welcome.
 

Sound Card: It is very good and I have it already, so why not put it in after a bit of the paint over to match the build.
 

Fans: I plant to replace all of the Fans than come withe the case and radiator for Noctua NF-A14. I obviously going to paint them to white blades and black frame. My only question is I know not all Noctua's are able to be disassembled. Do you know if Nf-14A are? I could not find a concreet info on that. I am going to paint them regardless, just would like to know. Also, I might re-sleeve them I guess I will decide once I see them.
 

Custom Parts: A pair of DEMCiflex filters for the rear panel. The rear will be exhaust so it is not necessary, but I am very anal about dust after my last build. A set of Custom sleeved cables for PSU from Casemod. Those are nice and are available for Seasonc PSU as well. They are obviously white. NZXT Hue for lighting I like the white breathing effect a lot and the control module is nice looking and will fit under the front cover of the case with no problem. The only drawback to the Hue is the provided LED strip only has 24 LED's that will be 12 per meter, witch is very low. I am looking into replacing the strip, but have not found anything suitable yet. If you have a good place to get a hight quality LED strip with numerous RBG LED with black strip itself I would be grateful. lastly ICY Dock to mount a HDD and any Extra SSD I might get in the future since I will be removing both HDD cages in the case for the rad to fit in.
 
TLDR: So here it is If you have any suggestions please let me know especially regarding the PSU. Also, if you would like to see build log please let me know as well.  Lastly I need to acknowledge that this build have quite a bit of bling to it that is unnecessary and is there just because I want to. I will not advise it to anyone if you are on the budget. You can build similar spec PC for probably just a bit over half of the budget. But If you want to do the same build feel free to do so, I will not be upset at the slightest. However, if you do so please let me know where you got the H240-x from please.  B)

Well I am getting I7-4790K. And as for Fury X at least for now I am running 1080p so it will not be as good and second it will not match the build color scheme. And I am not too comfortable painting a GPU.

I think I will stick with HoF cards, I like the white PCB it should match very nice with the mobo.
