Maximus Bios Question

The motherboard I own is the: ASUS MAXIMUS VI FORMULA.

*** I BASICALLY GOT THE 4790K FREE ***

I want to make sure everything is fine, before I sell my old CPU (4770k) and get the (4790k).

I'm on bios version 1603, I know you have to update the bios in-order to use the newest processors on this motherboard. Am I fine to upgrade my processor? Here is the list of bios updates: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_FORMULA/HelpDesk_Download/

I think I'm fine, I just want to double check before I sell my processor and upgrade to the new one.

Thanks a lot.

You can update the bios on the board with a thumb drive so yea you good, but upgrading from a 4770K to a 4790K make no sense whatsoever.

Read the op, I updated a bit!
