looking for dirt cheap graphics card

i need a dirt cheap graphics card to simply work with my intel i7 4700mq, im looking for around $50 (i know its under the sweet spot) but i am not looking for heavy gaming, simply some medium setting skyrim, some tf2 and league, the i7 with intel hd graphics can run those games ok but im looking for a little boost for it

I know the word of prophet linus (loyal to gaben) has said that it sucks and is not in the sweet spot but I have my needs

ummm, how will the GPU you're looking for fit in a PC with a mobile processor. Is it a laptop?

the 4700mq is a mobile processor. if this machine is a laptop, you won't be able to put any GPU in the system.

For that price the best I see are R7 240 and GT 740/730.

Used would be a lot better.

no. they use different sockets, or the CPU is soldered on. (can't remember which for this specific CPU)

Unless your laptop has a PCI thing that some laptops have, in which you can find something online to connect to the laptop and run a dedicated GPU with it.

still probably not going to work unless the laptop board has a built-in PCIE slot. also, laptop boards us specific power design, so a standard ATX one won't work.

There actually is a way to run a desktop GPU to a laptop.  Since you'd be using a laptop mobo+cpu msi and alienware have these weird things....link here http://www.amazon.com/Alienware-9R7XN-Graphics-Amplifier/dp/B00PCJXN0I  But, it is out of your budget.  I also don't think this specific one will work with yours unless it is a certain Alieware.  MSI's might, but I'd have to find it.

I read Alienware. I can't take this thread seriously now.

Ya, Alienware is shit for almost a decade now.

I remember when I used to think Alienware was like futuristic and the best tech in the world.

First, go with a desktop i5, and then get like an R7 240, or at bare minimum the 8400 GS
