ASUS ROG Swift - or wait?

I've only recently started looking at monitors again and this seems like an amazing piece of kit.

 

I notice however that it's been out for a little while, is there any news of a successor coming?

 

Should I buy or hold out?

There will always be something better that comes out in a few days, weeks, or months. I'd say go for it.

The rog swift is GARBAGE now... IPS can do 144hz now.

I'd wait for a better IPS to come out. Or grab the swift. That acer monitor looks like crapola.

Also the swift is fine if you use mouse and keyboard. It's when I use a controller and kick my feet up I have issues with vertical viewing angles

Looks like Asus debuted their IPS version in early June so I'm going to hold out for that over the coming months.

 

Other upgrades first!

You can stop defending TN garbage. We have 144hz IPS now, and looks like the cost the same even, judging by the available monitors compared to equivalent spec TN`s.

The swift is garbage now cause...ips? It was awesome before the ips monitors It's still awesome. I wouldn't touch that acer with a 10 foot pole. I'd rather have the new swift with ips but meh. Probably grab that acer ultra wide gsync curved display when it comes out though.

Ye, i can agree on that. That 1 trumps all.... especially if it really turns out to be 100hz, like acer said @ computex.
