Hey everyone!

I am currently using a laptop Asus X93S which begins to slowly become crap -_- , so I'm planning on doing my first build on my own and I wanted your advices and "approval" ;) , here it is:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($229.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus Z97 PRO GAMER ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($163.88 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($56.98 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($46.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card  ($339.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($104.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Chroma Wired Gaming Keyboard  ($133.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1186.70
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

My budget is around $1200-$1300.

Also I am French, so those prices doesn't apply for me since I'll probably get it on a French retailer.

This is supposed to be a gaming rig so a GTX 970 seems to be what I need in my budget to have a 1080p@60FPS+ experience.

As you can see, there's no CPU cooler, because I am not planning on overclocking right away so I'll get one when I will overclock. But I need a monitor... My budget doesn't allow a 144Hz one, so I wanted to know which 1080p@60Hz monitor would be good for me.

Also some of you might already think that this build lack a SSD, that is because I already got one for my laptop (but the port doesn't work anymore so I don't use it), it is a SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB for the ones wondering.

Hope you'll get me some good advice but I don't doubt it, you're the LMG community after all. B)

See y@.

My specs below:

Just get the MSI 390 instead! ;)

Well, something I should have point out: I AM A GREEN TEAM GUY. I know it is basically totally stupid buuuuuuut it is also because Nvidia is the brand of my first GPU and also seeing how many AAA games are Nvidia branded I think I'll have a bit of advantage taking a GTX 970 over a R9 390...

Well, I don't need the SSD since I already got one, the CPU cooler also because I will not overclock at the beginning and when I'll do I think I'll take a AIO Liquid Cooler. The PSU and the keyboard are not available in the French retailers from which I'll order (TopAchat or LDLC).

But still, thanks.

My specs below:
