Hey guys,
Upgrading my PC to a new system to do some serious gaming. I'm going with 16GB RAM, but are there any companies that are better to buy from for gaming or indeed OC, that are obviously reliable and can handle that constant load?

Cheers,

Memory OC doesn't provide enough of an advantage to be worth it. If your cpu/mobo can use 2133, go for that if you really want the clocks. AFAIK there isn't much of an impact for gaming (there's a LTT video on that. can't link, at work atm w/o youtube access :< )

As these guys are saying, OCing your RAM won't give you a boost in gaming but it's a fun compenent to overclock and gain some overclocking experience before moving on to bigger things like CPUs. If you want good quality RAM that can handle overclocking, look up reviews of the RAM that you'll be getting and/or go with reliable brands like Kingston, Gskill, Crucial etc.

If you're gonna OC your RAM, this video gives very good step-by-step instructions:

FX-6300 | Sapphire R9 270 | ASUS M5A97 R2.0 | 1TB Seagate + 500GB Hitachi | 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM | Noctua NH-U14S
