Do i need a Dac or amp?

I plan on getting the NAD Viso HP50's in red, and am currently using on board audio with my gigabyte Ud3h-bk rev1 motherboard, do i need a dac or an amp? the reason why im getting the headphones, is so i can replace the logitech z505 speakers im using because they are bulky and have been dying on me more and more frequently. 

Its a Championship not a Belt!

I'd say yes if you want analog volume control. No if you think it'll make your music sound better.
