EVGA GS 550w

Guest

Do you guys think EVGA/Cablemod will roll out braided cables for this power supply or should i go and buy a more expensive 750w G2 that will be horribly useless as my pc will not use over 500w?

I think it'll happen at IceModz if the demand is high enough and it should be here pretty quick as it's all this forum seems to recommend anymore xD (and with good reason, it's spectacular!)

I own one and would love to get custom cables from them if they ever make any, though I don't have a side panel window so it's probably money wasted...

The G2 is available in a 550W version.

You can use the E-Series Cablemod cables with that.

The g2 550w is not available in my country :/

i do my research

It is a fairly new model. They should hopefully start appearing soon though.

I don't know if you can buy it direct from EVGA. You can add it to your basket on their website so maybe give that a try.

From what I can tell, CableMod SE-Series cables will work with the EVGA GS. The connectors seem to be the same, and it'd make sense since the GS are based on Seasonic platform.

They look the same but are not necessarily the same.

Seasonic X isn't the base for EVGA GS650, the Seasonic G is.

This is a bad bad idea, as if the pinouts are different, it could be a safety hazard.

The best bet is to ask CableMods.

I know, I never said it was?

CableMod's compatibility states that SE-Series also compatible with the G. I just showed the X because it was the first picture I found, and pretty much all modular Seasonics in production today use the same cables.
